GSDI Association (Chair of Program Committee)
The GSDI Association promotes international cooperation and collaboration in support of local, national and international spatial data infrastructure developments that will allow nations to better address social, economic, and environmental issues of pressing importance. It is an inclusive non-governmental, non-profit international organization of organizations, agencies, firms, and individuals from around the world formed exclusively for educational, scientific, and research purposes. It regularly organizes a major international conference on SDI. |

Singapore Land Authority (SLA) is the national land registration and land boundary survey authority; and in the area of spatial information, is responsible for the management of a land data repository and data exchange among public agencies and is a key agency in a whole-of-government effort to establish a national spatial data infrastructure. |

Permanent Committee on GIS Infrastructure for Asia and the Pacific (PCGIAP)
The PCGIAP is a committee formed in 1995 arising from a resolution at the 13th United Nation Regional Cartographic Conference in Beijing in 1994. The PCGIAP is a forum for nations from Asia and the Pacific to cooperate, contribute, participate and share experiences in areas related to the spatial data infrastructure. Many regional activities has been initiated under PCGIAP, these include activities such as joint project, education, training and technology transfer. The committee comprise of 56 member countries, reports to the United Nation once every 3 years. |
Venue
The Conference Site
Award winning conference venue Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre (SICEC) is the
chosen venue for the GSDI 12 Conference. All primary plenary, technical, business meeting sessions and the
exhibition will be held here. Located next to the Central Business District, the conference venue is easily
accessible by public transport and is an approximately 20 minute drive from Changi Airport. Various renowned
hotels are located in the immediate vicinity of the conference venue, providing participants with accommodation
choices. Participants will also have access to a large variety of dining choices. SICEC's strategic location
allows participants to enjoy a spot of shopping in the major shopping centres conveniently located within short
