GSDI President, Bas Kok, was an invited guest at the 2008 International Conference of Spatial Data Infrastructure and Annual Conference of Taiwan Geographic Information Society. The conference was held on October 23-24, 2008 in Taipei, Taiwan.

It was attended by approximately 400 persons from local government agencies, academics and GIS companies. Bas Kok was one of the six keynote speakers invited from abroad.

He gave a 40-minute presentation on the main developments of Spatial Data Infrastructures throughout the world.

Mr. Kok was also a panel member during the panel discussion on spatial data infrastructure policy and techniques.
