Important building blocks for good government performance

He gave a keynote speech on the vision of GSDI concerning the future strategy for our Spatial Data Infrastructure community.

He also Chaired the Plenary Session on ‘Geospatial for Public Sector’,

SDIs are a very important building block towards good government performance. It facilitates the use of spatial information from the whole of government perspective. It leads to improved decision making, a reduction of administrative costs; better whole of government outcomes; and enhanced industry development opportunities.

Spatial enablement of government can contribute to dealing with the challenges that society faces as a whole.
