During the ISPRS Council Meeting in Melbourne, Australia (22-26 August 2011), a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the GSDI Association and the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS).

During the 25th International Cartographic Conference (ICC) in Paris, France (4-8 July 2011), a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the GSDI Association and the International Cartographic Association (ICA).

The GSDI Association has been actively participated in different international meetings and conference over the last a few months and will participate in different meetings and conferences over the next a few months.

The GSDI President, Associate Prof Abbas Rajabifard gave plenary talk about"Spatially Enabled Society" in FIG 2010. This was the biggest number in any FIG conference. There was more than 150 technical sessions, flash sessions, workshops, special forums etc. with almost 800 papers. More than 2,000 people attended to this event from 100 countries.
