The ICA (International Cartographic Association) Commission on Use and User Issues is conducting a survey to explore interest in exchanging knowledge and experience in user focused approaches for identifying user needs and usability of geographic information. They invite people from mapping organisations to participate, especially those with knowledge of user related mapping and data development.
The Global Spatial Data Infrastructure Association is pleased to announce its Small Grants Program for the year 2011-12.
Summary:
The GSDI Association desires to receive nominations to recognize globally an individual who has provided exemplary thought leadership and substantive worldwide contributions in (1) promoting informed and responsible use of geographic information and geospatial technologies for the benefit of society and/or (2) fostering spatial data infrastructure developments that support sustainable social, economic, and environmental systems integrated from local to global scales.
