Call for participation: AFREF Data Holding and Analysis Centres

The African Geodetic Reference Frame (AFREF) Steering Committee calls for participation to solicit support in the establishment of Data Holding and Data Analysis Centres. AFREF is considered important for the sustainable development of Africa by providing a common reference system for mapping and production of geographic information.

Minutes of the RDA Geospatial IG meeting 22 September 2014

This article presents the minutes of the Geospatial Interest Group’s meeting held in Amsterdam on the 22 September 2014 from 13:30 to 15:00 at RDA’s 4th plenary meeting. The meeting attracted more than 25 participants with diverse backgrounds during which five presentations – including the introduction by the chair – were given, followed by a Q&A.
