URISA and IAAO 20th anniversary GIS /CAMA Technologies Conference, February 22-25, 2016

URISA and the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) are pleased to announce the milestone 20th anniversary GIS /CAMA Technologies Conference, February 22-25, 2016 in Savannah, Georgia. The long-running conference attracts professionals in property assessment, tax administration, mapping and information technology and focuses on the integration of GIS and computer-assisted mass appraisal (CAMA) technologies.

GSDI President Prof David Coleman speaks to NGA

On June 22nd, GSDI Association President David Coleman delivered an invited presentation entitled "Evolution of Spatial Data Infrastructures: From NSDI to GSDI to pSDI” to staff and scientists at the U.S. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) at its headquarters in Springfield, Virginia — just outside Washington, D.C. Through online connections, individuals from NGA offices in the Washington and St. Louis areas as well as offices in other centres were able to attend the presentation and ask questions via video link.

URISA's GISCorps Activities During Esri User Conference

URISA’s GISCorps has announced several activities coinciding with Esri’s User Conference in San Diego, July 20-24, 2015. Geomatics Indaba 2015 Update: 11-13 August, Johannesburg, SA

Geomatics Indaba 2015 [http://geomatics.org.za/] is all set to be the highlight of the geospatial industry’s year. Over 70 papers have been submitted for the conference which features both academic and general paper tracks, training workshops and over 80 exhibition stands. Almost five hundred delegates have already registered for the event which is set to take place from 11 to 13 August 2015 at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg.
