GIM International Summit 2016

Geomatics Indaba 2015 Update: 11-13 August, Johannesburg, SA

Geomatics Indaba 2015 [http://geomatics.org.za/] is all set to be the highlight of the geospatial industry’s year. Over 70 papers have been submitted for the conference which features both academic and general paper tracks, training workshops and over 80 exhibition stands. Almost five hundred delegates have already registered for the event which is set to take place from 11 to 13 August 2015 at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg.

2015 GIS in Transit Conference to feature more than 60 presentations

URISA, the National Center for Transit Research, and the Transportation Research Board (TRB) are jointly presenting the 9th National GIS in Transit Conference, on September 1-3, 2015, in Washington, DC. (Note that Labor Day is Monday, September 7).

URISA Board Candidates Announced

URISA’s Leadership Development Committee recently presented its recommended slate of candidates to the URISA Board of Directors. The Board approved the slate, listed below, for its 2015 election. Those elected will begin their three-year Board terms following GIS-Pro & NWGIS 2015 in Spokane, Washington in October.
